We've got new lottery terminals launching province wide on May 26, 2024.

You know the drill – scan and see your results, but we’ve upgraded our ticket checker to a larger, easy-to-read screen.

Starting May 26, we will have new selection slips. The new slips have a redesigned format and now accept only blue and black pen. Old slips will no longer be accepted.

Previously, our retailers would have the option of redeeming prizes from $200-$2000 depending on their till availability. Starting May 26, when you win in store, retailers have the discretion to validate all prizes under $2000. If they are unable to redeem your prize, please visit another retailer or fulfillment centre.

Sometimes we have to say goodbye to older games so we can work on improving other aspects of play. May 26 we will say goodbye to Poker Lotto, but think you’ll like these games just as much.

We are upgrading our sportsbook experience. May 26 we retire Sports Action for a new sports betting experience. Stay tuned for further information about our new retail sportsbook launching this summer.

BCLC is upgrading your lottery experience with a new way to play. We want to ensure that we are always improving your gaming experience wherever we can. Our new terminals will include: Enhanced displays, New Ticket Checkers and Selection Slips and Tap Payment.

BCLC will begin installing our new terminals on May 25, 2024. During this time, lottery products and services will be unavailable in stores and online. We appreciate your patience as we work to upgrade your lottery experience across BC through May 26, 2024.

At restaurant and bar locations there will be new self-serve terminals starting May 26. These new terminals feature a sleek design, enhanced purchase experience, and now accept mobile and tap payment. Learn how to use this new terminal.

In retail locations we will have new selection slips that must be filled out with black or blue pen. Starting May 26, the old slips will no longer be accepted.

You might notice that your local restaurants and bars have new self-serve terminals arriving a few weeks before our May 26 launch. Once a new terminal has been installed, self-serve lottery purchases will be unavailable until the terminals launch on May 26, 2024. You can purchase at the bar or visit PlayNow.com to complete your lottery purchases.

You might experience some short-term disruptions leading up to May 26. This may include:

• Lower inventory of Scratch & Win tickets due to a temporary freeze in ticket ordering.
• Reduced number of Advance Play Draws leading up to May 26
• Lottery products and services unavailable for several hours as we install the new equipment.
• Possibly slower purchase time as everyone gets used to the new ways of operating.

We appreciate your patience!

Previously our older machine validated your tickets and kept them once inserted. The new terminals launching May 26 will no longer keep tickets. We recommend you dispose of these tickets when returned to you, as they will not be active after validation.

Poker Lotto will no longer be available as of May 26, 2024. If you’re looking for something similar Keno is offered in our restaurant and bar locations.

Sports Action will also be retiring May 26 to make room for a brand new, digital retail sportsbook, with single event betting, improved odds, same-day payouts, and more markets to bet on. Stay tuned for more information about our new retail sportsbook launching this summer.

To prepare for the launch of our new Lottery terminals, Advance Play Draws for online games will decrease by one draw per day after Feb. 26, 2024 until the launch of our new terminals on May 26, 2024.
