Winnipeg resident Andre J. has claimed the latest lottery prize from PlayNow – a $100,000 EXTRA win on the January 9, 2024 draw!
He was reviewing his PlayNow account on his computer, and when he discovered the win, he asked his wife to come see the screen. Because of recent computer troubles, she thought she would find him pointing out another computer malfunction. Instead, the screen showed a $100,000 prize!
“My wife was reading the numbers and she just went white,” Andre shared. “We could not believe it!”
The winning EXTRA number on July 9, 2024, was 6079523. The EXTRA number on Andre’s Lotto Max ticket matched the last 6 digits in order, winning the $100,000 second prize.
Andre was not quite ready to welcome all the feelings that came with the win.
“We are both pretty anxious, but it’s definitely good too,” he explained while picking up his prize cheque. Hopefully Andre is feeling a bit more settled now that he has received his winnings.
The happy couple are still contemplating how to use their windfall.
