Stanley D. was initially skeptical when he received an email from PlayNow letting him know that he won $1 million from the August 13, 2024 Lotto Max draw.
“I got an email saying that my PlayNow account was over the limit,” recalled Stanley. “I thought it might be a scam, but then I checked my account and thought instead I must be dreaming.”
The Victoria resident received news of his win on his girlfriend’s birthday and he was excited to share the news with her first.
“Her reaction was, ‘This is the best birthday present ever!’”
Stanley looks forward to being mortgage free and finishing some home renovations. He also plans to take a holiday.
On how it feels to win?
“Surreal. It means I will be debt free, and it bumps up my retirement fund.”
