Bet Types
Single Bets
A Single bet is a bet placed on one selection (without any combination of one or more other selections in a parlay). PlayNow now offers single-event betting on all markets in the Sportsbook (excluding Same Game Parlay).
Parlay Bets
A parlay is a bet that combines the outcomes of two or more individual predictions and is also dependent on all of those predictions being correct in order to have a winning bet. Parlaying picks is a great way to increase the amount of potential return of your sports bet.
Below is the list of available parlays:
- Double (2 Picks)
- Treble (3 Picks)
- 4-Fold to 20-Fold
Full cover bets
As an extension of parlay betting, Full Cover bets include all possible combinations of parlays available. Full Cover Bets may also include single bets (when available).
Below is the list of available Full Cover bets:
- Trixie
- Patent
- Yankee
- Canadian
- Heinz
- Super Heinz
- Goliath
Power Picks
A 'Power Pick' is a great way to make a quick parlay bet in a single click - AND get a higher payout if you win! A 'Power Pick' is a single bet featuring multiple outcomes and an increased odds value then creating your own parlay. A Power Pick CANNOT be parlayed with any other bet. All event results within the Power Pick must be correct (as specified in the terms posted) for a winning bet. The cut-off time for placing a Power Pick bet typically corresponds to the start time of the Event that starts first within the Power Pick. Any Power Pick (or parlay bet advertised with enhanced odds) that is comprised of an event that is not completed (e.g. abandoned, postponed) will be Void. As with all bets, Power Picks are subject to change or removal without prior notice.
Win/Place bets
A Win/Place bet (or sometimes known as an 'Each Way' bet) is basically two bets; one bet for your Pick to win, the other for your Pick to 'place' (finish in 2nd - or as many places as specified in your bet). The 'place' part of the bet is essentially a backup bet. You will receive a return on your bet if your Pick wins but also if it places. The place part of the bet will always be a fraction of the odds you have taken, usually 1/4 or 1/5. Terms for each Win/Place bet may vary and are always listed with the offer.
When betting Win/Place with Golf 'Outright Winner (Must Finish under Par)', selected golfer must finish Under Par for bet to be a potential winner.
For example, a Golf Tournament may feature the Win/Place terms as a quarter the odds for Four Places which is written as:These terms mean your bet can win be a winner to if your selection finishes within the first four places (first, second, third and fourth) at a quarter of the odds (divide the winning odds by 4).
If the Golfer you have selected wins the tournament, you get returns for that player winning and also for placing. If the golfer finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th then you get returns for the 'place' part only - your 'win' portion of the bet is not a winner.
With PlayNow you can now include a pick with a Win/Place bet as part of your parlay. To do this, Simply tick the 'Win/Place' selection box next to the Parlay option you want to bet and the Win/Place option will be added to your bet.
Same Game Parlay
Same Game Parlay (SGP) is a Single bet combining individual predictions from the same event. Same Game Parlay bets are currently available on NFL, NBA, EPL soccer, Rugby League, and Rugby Union events.

There are also specific promotions that are available to you through your 'My Promotions' page from time to time. From here you should click on the 'My Promotions' link in the left navigation and look for the section called 'Promotions Available to You'.

To view any Freebets you might have, Login to your Account and then click on the 'My Account' link at the top right corner of the page. Click on the 'My Promotions' link in the left navigation which will display all of your promotional rewards. You can see whether you have any Freebet by looking at the 'Tokens' section of this page.
If you do have a Sports Freeebet available to use, you will see the 'Apply Freebet' drop down menu next to the bet options available where you can apply the Freebet of your choice.
How to redeem a Freebet
First, add a selection or multiple selections to build your bet. If you have a Freebet (token) that is available to be used in your account, you will see the following “Apply Freebet” link appear below the available bet types.
To apply the Freebet to your bet, simply click on the drop down arrow, which will show all the Freebets that are available to be used and click on the Freebet to apply it to the betslip.
Depending on the picks you have added to your betslip, you may have multiple bet types available. If multiple bet types are displayed, you will need to select which bet type you want to apply the Freebet (clicking the applicable ‘radio button’) before proceeding.
Once you have selected the bet type and Freebet you want to use, the Freebet amount will autofill into the applicable stake box. If successfully applied, you will see a green checkmark with the Freebet name displayed below the bet type you selected.
If you wish to stake a larger amount then just the value of your Freebet, simply enter the total amount in the stake box. For example, to place a $50 wager while using a $20 token, enter $50 into the stake box and then apply the ($20) Freebet. In this scenario, $30 will be taken from your balance in addition to the Freebet. It is important to note, that if your bet is a winner, the $30 stake is included in potential Returns while the $20 token portion of the stake would not (as only winnings from Freebets are returned to the account in cash).
Please Note that only a Freebet may only be used on one bet type, however if placing multiple bets at once, and more than one Freebet is available, Freebets can be applied to multiple bets. For example you could have 1 Freebet applied to a ‘Doubles’ bet, and another Freebet applied to a ‘Single’ bet type within the same bet slip:
Once you’ve clicked on “Place Bet” it will bring you to the Confirmation Step (if selected in your betslip Settings). The Freebet will be displayed under the bet type on the betslip.
Note: If you do not see the Freebet listed below the bet type, it means the token was not successfully applied. If you Confirm Bet without the Freebet displayed on the bet slip below the bet type, the funds used for the bet will be from your account balance (and not the Freebet).
Once bet is confirmed, you will see the Freebet again listed on the confirmation slip in green indicating that the token was used successfully on your bet.
Freebet token restrictions
It is not possible to use a Freebet Token across multiple bets on your Betslip. For example, you are not able to use $5 of a $10 Sports Freebet towards a Single bet and the remaining $5 of the Freebet to a parlay bet.
It is not possible to use a Freebet and wager LESS than the value of a Freebet
When you win a bet for which you have placed using a Sports Freebet, only the prize amount of that bet will be returned to your wallet. The value of your Freebet will NOT be returned.
Only one Freebet may be used on any one bet, however if placing multiple bets at once, if more than one Freebet is available, Freebets can be applied to multiple bets.

A Dead Heat refers to an outcome where two or more competitors are tied for the same winning position (according to terms of your bet). In this instance your bet is settled under the 'dead heat reduction rules' for that event.
Dead Heat Reduction Rule
A Dead Heat Reduction is calculated by dividing the wager amount proportionally between the number of winners in the event. So, in a two-way dead heat (2 winners) for example, your return will be half of what was originally projected.
Decimal Odds
The odds expressed as a decimal number. Total odds are determined by multiplying the value (odds) of each selection, and then multiplying by the wager amount. A Double (parlay) is one bet on 2 picks in different events. Both picks in a Double must be correct for a winning bet. (Similar to Sports Action Combo Play -Go for 2).

format), and 2/1 mean that bettor wins $2 for each unit staked (thus equal 3.00 in decimal format). So,
with a stake of $100, profit on first bet is $33.33, and on the second bet, profit is $200. Profit is
calculated as: wager amount multiplied by the fractional odds.

Subsequently, odds are significantly higher, especially for outcomes with one team to win at half time
and other team to win at full time.
There is often confusion with "Half Time/Full Time" and with the bet "Team to Win Both
Halves". For example, if the result of the match Vancouver vs. Portland was 4-0 at half-time and
5-2 at full time, the bet "Vancouver Half Time/Vancouver Full Time" would be a winner;
however, the bet "Vancouver to Win Both Halves" would not be a winner, as the result of second
half was 1-2 in Portland’s favour.

Point Spread
A Point Spread bet helps even the odds of any particular sporting event by subtracting points from the favoured competitor and subsequently adding the same amount of points to the weaker competitor. The first goalscorer part of the bet is governed by the same rules as first goalscorer single bets - own goals do not count and if your player either comes on before the first goal is scored or goes off without scoring, the entire bet is deemed as a non-winner.

For example, if the result of the match Vancouver vs. Portland was 4-0 at half time and 5-2 at full time; the bet “Vancouver to win both halves” would NOT be a winner (as the second half result was 1-2 in Portland’s favour). This should not be confused with a “Half Time/Full Time” bet, whereby with this same game outcome, the bet "Vancouver Half Time/Vancouver Full Time" would be the winning selection.

Parlay Boosts
Parlay Boosts are now available at PlayNow Sports. When applied to league or event competitions, this promotion offers players a percentage boost to the profit of their parlay bet.
The percentage boost is determined by the size of the parlay. For example, when the boost is applied, a qualifying six-way parlay bet would receive a greater percentage boost compared to a three-way or four-way parlay bet. Check out the Promotions Page for more information about when the Parlay Boosts will be applied.
If your qualifying bet is successful, PlayNow Sports is adding 3% to 60% boost on your winnings, depending on the number of selections in your parlay. A three-leg parlay includes the minimum 3% boost, while a 14-leg parlay comes with the maximum 60% boost. Terms and Conditions Will Apply. Bets placed using freebet tokens will not be eligible for the parlay boost. The maximum boost amount is $75,000.
