A group of co-workers from Koostatak, Manitoba is celebrating after taking home $100,003 on the February 28 LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA draw.

Aaron M. and his co-workers Cynthia A., Douglas M. and John G. said they have been buying lottery tickets together each week for as long as they can remember.

The winners said it’s a routine that brings them time together and now has brought each of them a whole lot more!

“I had no idea we had won until the cashier checked the ticket,” said Aaron while claiming the group’s prize. “I just fell kind of quiet for a second then immediately called [the other group members].”

“It was such a surprise,” he added.

Each winner will take home a $25,000.75 share of the total LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA prize.

Aaron said his co-workers are still coming up with ideas on how to spend their windfall, but he has already decided on a game plan:
