There were several close games in this bet. The heavily favoured New York Yankees narrowly defeated Baltimore by just a single run. But by far the biggest sweat of the bet was between the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche.

The Avalanche were heavy favourites on the Money Line and dominated most of the game but coughed up the lead in the third period as St. Louis forced overtime. In the end, despite giving up the lead late in the game, the Avalanche would not be denied, winning the game in the extra period thanks to a goal from Josh Manson.
